What Is Isshinryu Karate?

Isshinryu Karate is a traditional Okinawan martial art founded by Grandmaster Tatsuo Shimabuku in 1956. Its name translates to "One Heart Method," reflecting the unity of mind, body, and spirit.

Developed from traditional Okinawan martial arts, Isshinryu combines elements of Shorin-ryu and Goju-ryu karate into a practical system emphasizing effective techniques, natural movement, speed, and strength.
